ebm-papst receives the “Best Entrepreneur in Germany” award in the “Established Company” category
Gerhard Sturm, founder and honorary chairman of the advisory board, Ralf Sturm, partner and member of the advisory board, and Stefan Brandl, chairman of the ebm-papst group, were proud and delighted to receive the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year ™ award yesterday evening in the “ Established companies ”for ebm-papst. For the 24th time, the auditing and consulting firm EY acknowledges the best owner-managed small- and medium-sized companies in Germany. Winning this award, ebm-papst will represent Germany at the “World Entrepreneur Of The Year” next year in Monte Carlo.
In the second category, “Young Companies”, Industry 4.0 was chosen. Company ASCon Systems GmbH from Stuttgart awarded.

For the first time, the winners were announced at a virtual award ceremony moderated by news anchor Judith Rakers.
This year, 19 companies reached the finals. An independent jury nominated the entrepreneurs for the “EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2020” award. The evaluation focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and personal commitment.
In the laudation for ebm-papst, Hartmut Jenner, CEO of Kärcher, talked about the successful development of the ebm-papst Group. More than 20 products from the world’s leading manufacturer of fans and motors can be hidden in every household today. ebm-papst is present wherever there is a need to move air intelligently and quietly, make drives work precisely and heating systems work highly efficiently, or cool electronics with pinpoint accuracy. The focus is on the perfect interaction of engine and flow technology as well as electronics. With 20,000 active products, the company offers a solution for practically every task in the field of ventilation and drive technology.
The company ebm (Elektrobau Mulfingen GmbH & Co. KG) was founded in 1963 by Gerhard Sturm and Heinz Ziehl and initially concentrated on the production of small external rotor motors, Jenner continued. The current portfolio includes solutions in ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, heating technology, the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, information technology, catering / household appliances, intralogistics and medical technology. ebm-papst has consistently focused on sustainability for many decades, so that every newly developed product has to surpass its predecessor ecologically and economically.
